In inFamous 2 Cole manages to get many new skills, abilities and moves. As Cole, we visit the suburbs and various locations places around the city like bogs and cemeteries. It’s mostly due to the fact that it was inspired by New Orleans. New Marais is much more interesting and culturally diverse than Empire City, the main location in the first instalment. That is why Cole does not receive a warm welcome: the Beast is not his only enemy. In New Marais, there is a military organization led by Bertrand, its charismatic leader who is not going to let a freak wander to the streets of his turf. It follows McGrath destroying and killing in every place it goes to. The Beast, however, does not want to peacefully wait. In order to get ready for another round, Cole seeks a place where he could augment his powers and decides on a journey to New Marais. He was too weak to win, though, and nearly died in the encounter. It came out that all the previous events were carefully planned in order to direct Cole towards his final opponent. When the first inFamous was nearing the end, Cole McGrath, the protagonist, was the strongest being to ever have existed in Empire City.Įverything changed, however, with the arrival of the Beast. He visits large metropolis, completes diversified missions and fights outnumbered by his enemies.
